About me

I am a professional artist, and having been based for the past eight years in Jersey, in the Channel Islands, I have now returned to the UK. I paint almost exclusively in acrylic on either hand-primed gesso board or stretched canvas, with work ranging from a few centimeteres across to two metres square, or more.

My paintings

I am best known for my contemporary images of Jersey's coastline and I have found that there is great demand for the marine landscapes that can be seen in the on-line galleries on this site. However I also paint other subjects-including abstract works and if you have a browse through this site you will find many and varied subjects. In these days of social media more and more traffic to this site site comes from Facebook. If you see things you like, then please tell your friends!

Will I still be able to buy Martin Bullivant paintings in Jersey?

Yes. Absolutely. I still aim to continue to vist the Island and to produce the work that remains highly sought after on the island.

What about this website?

www.martinbullivant.com will remain in place and will continue to be the place to find out what is happening, along with Facebook, of course. This site will enable you to find out more about me, my paintings, where to see them, where to buy them, and even how to begin to learn to paint.

What about your own talent?

I have recently added an article that talks about how I became a painter, because by sharing this story I hope to inspire others to pick up a brush and have a go.
